Description
The Aryana range is unique, and rich. On an Aryana rug both classic and contemporary patterns are combined. Woven across the Northern Afghanistan regions by our skilled and experienced weavers, the Aryana range is unique, and rich.
There are no central motifs or fields and often do not have a traditional border. They often demonstrate horizontal bands of patterns which would be called Khorjeen and Gabbeh. The bands of colour frequently depict animals, birds and flowers as well as geometrical patterns. With all our Aryana rugs, the pile is woven in wool on a cotton base. The final washing and finishing of the rugs are completed using traditional methods.
